Demons, witches, cranky fairies and a boy magician feature in this concert leaving audiences enchanted and bewitched. Composers have been drawn to sinister characters for centuries for inspiration to write music revelling in fi endishness, from operas to tone poems, ballet and operettas. Here is a spellbinding selection from Harry Potter to Night on a Bare Mountain, via Mendelssohn's Walpurgisnacht, Verdi's Macbeth, Weber's Der Freischütz to the evil von Rothbart's spells in Swan Lake. Perfect music for Halloween-just a little bit frightening! Costumes encouraged.
