Greg Wanchap
Mr Wanchap is Principal of WHK Horwath, Business Advisors and Chartered Accountants.
He specialises in advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, and capital raisings and is an adviser to corporations and privately owned businesses as well as serving on a number of commercial and community boards. His commercial background includes investment banking, manufacturing, and insurance and extensive experience in doing business in China. Mr Wanchap holds a Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology, is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia, Fellow of Taxation Institute of Australia, Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Philip Bracanin is an Australian of Dalmatian parentage. From the age of six he received piano lessons and subsequently studied music and mathematics at the University of Western Australia, where he was awarded MA and PhD degrees for analytical studies of contemporary music. Professor Bra?anin recently retired from The University of Queensland where for nine years he was Dean of the Faculty of Music, and for ten years, Head of the School of Music. He served on the boards of the Australian Music Centre, Australia Council, 4MBS Classic Radio and the Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra. Currently he is a Director on the Board of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
Included amongst his works are numerous chamber pieces (including three string quartets), solo song cycles with both piano and orchestral accompaniments, choral works, concerti for piano, violin, viola, cello, oboe, clarinet, trombone, guitar, two for orchestra and three symphonies.
In 1988 Bracanin was Composer-in-Residence at the Anglo-Australian Music Festival in Birmingham, England. In 1991 he fulfilled a similar role at the Bournemouth International Festival, at which two of his works were performed, including a festival commission. In May 1995 his First Symphony was premièred by the Pusan Philharmonic Orchestra in Pusan, Korea, and in September his Second Choral Symphony was premièred. Additionally, in 1995 his Guitar Concerto won the APRA Award for the best Australian Classical Composition.
His music has been recorded in Australia, Germany, Finland and in the former Yugoslavia, and performed in Australia, Europe, Korea and the U.S.A.
Tony Denholder
Tony Deholder is a partner in the Brisbane Commercial and Projects Group at Blake Dawson.
He specialises in resources law and native title. He also advises on infrastructure development and commercial matters. He has advised clients in all mainland Australian States and the Northern Territory on native title aspects affecting the establishment of projects and infrastructure.
He has also advised on various constitutional issues including conflicts between Commonwealth and State legislation, compensation for the compulsory acquisition of property and the extent of Commonwealth and State legislative power. Previous experience includes carriage of litigation in various jurisdictions including the Queensland Court of Appeal, and involvement in capital raising on the Australian Stock Exchange.
Tony is the co-author of numerous articles on native title matters, including on the implications of the Wik decision and the Commonwealth's 1998 Native Title Act amendments. Tony is a member of the Queensland Branch Committee of the Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Association (AMPLA), and is a founding member of the Australian Native Title Law Association (ANTLA).
Jenny Hodgson
Ms Hodgson is a Producer with the Programming Unit of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
Previously she had undertaken projects with the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University and worked for the Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra for eleven years including seven as General Manager. Ms Hodgson holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland, a Masters of Business Administration from the Queensland University of Technology, a Licentiate of the Trinity College of Music, London (pianoforte) and an Associate in Music, Australia (pianoforte).
Jason Redman
Jason Redman is Principal Trombonist of Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and was appointed
to the Board as Employee Director in 2009. He is also currently chair of the Artistic Committee which is responsible for overseeing artistic planning and administration.
He has appointed to the QSO in August 1990, and has appeared as a soloist with QSO and TQO numerous times. He completed his B. Mus at Griffith University in 1991.
Jason is also a Churchill Fellow, studying with leading US trombonists in the USA in 1996.
Janine Walker
Janine Walker is Director of the Office of Human Resource Management of Griffith University and an
Adjunct Professor in the University’s Business School. Janine has held significant senior positions in the field of people management and industrial relations including HR Director of Princess Alexandra Hospital, Director of Industrial Relations for Queensland Health and Industrial Director and General Secretary of the Queensland Public Sector Union.
Janine has worked as a broadcaster for the ABC and a columnist for The Courier-Mail. She served from 1991 to 1997 on the Board of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and was Chair of the Corporation’s Audit Committee for four years. She has held a range of Government appointments including membership of the Vocational Education Training and Employment Commission and Chair of the Australia New Zealand Foundation. She has been Chair and a member of a number of Commonwealth and State bodies in areas as diverse as the status of vocational education and training, population policy and employment issues affecting people living with HIV-AIDS. She chaired the Council of All Hallows’ School in Brisbane for seven years.
Tony Keane
Tony is Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking Queensland for National Australia Bank (NAB). He has
responsibility for nab's relationships with Queensland's large privately owned and public listed companies. The client base covers a broad range of industries including manufacturing, retail, wholesale, professional services, technology, tourism, mining & associated services, etc.
Tony has a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) degree from University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Finance from Swinburne. He is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has worked for NAB for over 25 years in various positions in SA, Victoria and Queensland.
John Keep
John was born and educated in Sydney, where he studied engineering at Sydney University
and later at Macquarie University majoring in Economics and Accounting. On graduation from university he worked overseas for a short period for the German based Mannesmann group before returning to Australia in 1979 to join the NSW brewer, Tooheys Limited.
Following the merger of Tooheys and Castlemaine Perkins Limited he was appointed Group Manager Finance & Administration of the newly merged group, then in 1982 moved to Brisbane to take up the position of Group Company Secretary of the then public company.
Following the hostile takeover of the company by the Bond Group in 1985 he was closely involved in the establishment of the Austotel Hotel Trust involving the acquisition of the 267 pubs and hotels throughout Australia. As General Manager and later the Chief Executive of Austotel he overcame turbulent times, building a cohesive management team and developing and successfully implementing the group's business plans.
In 1993 he participated in the Heineken International Management Program at the European Institute of Business Administration in France. In 1995 John established TyTo Corporation, a specialist investment bank focusing on business expansion through strategic alliances and related corporate advice. The group's clients included European and Asian Pacific companies seeking to develop businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
In February 1999 he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Queensland Diagnostic Imaging (QDI), a privately owned Queensland based radiology group where he unified and refocused the group, building a culture and management team that established QDI as the recognised leader in its profession.
In 2005 John established a Brisbane based, doctor owned Pathology company and then in late 2005 he was appointed Director of Operations of Lamarne Healthcare, a company dedicated to the detection and treatment of skin cancer.
John is a founding member and chairman of the Friends of the Academy, a group of professionals who share a common interest in the newly formed Queensland Academy for Health Sciences.
John is married with two grown up children, enjoys motor sports and travels whenever he can.
